HOUSE OF CARAVAN

Office

House of Caravan is a first-person exploration video game heavily influenced by the gothic fiction of Edgar Allan Poe and classic horror films, and is based also on the Death in Candlewood universe.

House of Caravan takes place inside a mansion in the 1910s in Candlewood, Northeast US.

The player is challenged to solve different kind of puzzles, figure out how to discover all the secrets that the mansion hides and unveil the ghoulish story of the Caravans, which is told through a fragmented narrative as the player explores the mansion.

A little bit of context

House of Caravan spans a single night in the life of Lester Barnard, a boy with no resources grown on the streets of a suburb of Boston. One day in his way to school he is taken away by strangers, and after a long car drive he is left alone in an unknown and inhospitable place.

Gameplay

Key features include:

  • Top-notch visuals and performance immersing the player in a world influenced by Edgar Allan Poe and classic horror films
  • Exploration-based adventure game played from a first-person perspective
  • Physical object interaction, allowing physics-based puzzles and interactions with the environment such as opening doors, collecting items or fixing machinery
